Kevin knew Tara was “the one” when she finally said “yes” to adopting a Golden Retriever puppy in August 2022. Immediately after, he meticulously started planning every step of the proposal, something he has thought about since he was a teenager.

A week after securing Jeff’s (Tara’s dad) blessing in September, Kevin flew to New York to pick out the ring (under the guise of a work trip). After deciding to propose at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes (one of their favorite places) on February 25, 2023, Kevin started reaching out to his and Tara’s closest friends and family to let them know about the big day and make sure they were available.

The weekend of the proposal was one of the rainiest weekends Los Angeles had seen. Despite the weather, Kevin insisted that Tara get out of the apartment and go on an adventure (she had been sick for a while, and spent the last two weeks on the couch). As they approached the resort, the rain did not let up. However, Kevin insisted that they walk down to the water and see a cute beach cove that Kevin “had heard about.” Miraculously, as they got closer to the water, the rain started to die down and an incredible double rainbow appeared.

Once they got to the beach, Kevin popped the question! Tara was completely surprised and very emotional. A few moments later, many tears were shed as they celebrated with their closest friends and family, some of whom flew across the country just for the special occasion.
